"Well we are the first people to stay in this home since its new owner purchased it and renovated it. What a lovely home! Everything was great from the pool to the furnishings to the great layout. The locations was just right. Being here for 2 weeks, we took the opportunity to do so many things. Horseback riding ( in the mountains and on the beach), tubing, zip lining, volcano visiting, Tabacon hot springs day spay (INCREDIBLE), learning how to surf, playing with monkeys at the Congo trail zip line and soaking up the sun! the Costa Rican people were friendly and helpful, and fun to interact with. This was a wonderful trip and a great home to base it out of. We’re looking forward to our next trip here. We’ve got the Costa Rica bug in us! Themis and matt Johnson Potomac, Maryland"

"This place was so beautiful, it almost seemed enchanted. The whole place is surrounded by the most beautiful plants and flowers I have ever seen. Blooms as big as your head! Hibiscus and blue sky flowers cover the whole perimiter, and it just makes you feel like you are living in a rainforest getaway. Tons of hummingbirds were at all the trees every morning, and there were even wild parrots in the trees! And while we were there, a whole family of monkeys hung out in the big trees just outside the front door- 10 that we could count, and even one with a baby on its back! They kept us entertained for hours, chittering and howling and eating the mango from the trees. they stayed with us for days! It was truly amazing! And the walk to portero beach was mabye 3 minutes. and the beaches are so quiet! not crowded at all- sometimes we would be the only people on the beach! It was wonderful! and if you wanted more people, you could always make the short drive to Flamingo, brasalito, or Conchal. (Conchal was beautiful- the whole beach is made of shells- no joke!). And we loved the little restaurants in surfside- Maxwells was great for the whole family- they even have a pool table and games for the kids to play. Their menu changes based on the daily catches, so everything is fresh! we also loved the castle bakery- great food and right next to the beach. Bahia del sol had the best views, but their food is a little expensive- not too bad, but not an everyday thing like maxwells or the castle. The house itself is wonderful! 3 tvs- one in the master, one in the bedroom, and one in living room, and lots of comfy places to sit, eat, work, whatever. Having the wireless internet was a much enjoyed bonus. The house is huge, and the pool is perfect! They even had comfy lounge chairs for you! The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, and the beds and couches were very comfy! You really do feel like you are tucked away in a little rainforest getaway, but are just a few minutes to the beach! Overall, an absolutely wonderful place to stay- I would recommend this place to everyone!"
